@igotscamed1 No, it's not to create an excuse, it's to accept that you can't stop people from using a word all together and to alter the mind frames of people so that they don't get offended. Just about any words can be used in an offensive way, for example referring to someone as an "It". By making people stronger in such a way as to spare themselves from being offended by such words, you are in fact doing your best to take the power away from the words and thus lower the temptation to use them

@Vottaro Yes but sometimes it's the intent with which a word is used that's offensive, not the actual word. for example nigger is sometimes offensive, sometimes not. you're making a blanket excuse for all offensive things by blaming those who are offended
