An incredibly moving video. Truly reflects the importance of literacy starting with children but including all ages. No one is ever too old to learn to read and write.

The simple things like reading and writing is what I take for granted in life. Most people don't have that luxury, and it is shocking.

@Casanuda that does not include the effect of the MNCs coming into these countries & producing stuff cheaply so that the americans can get a lot without doing any thing & without paying for it. This does not even mention how many americans are literate. A hi scool grad has to take basic reading & writing courses in college 4 2yrs before he can start doing anything

Illiteracy is a problem throughout the world. It causes a wider divide between the "haves" and "have nots". Literacy matters.
