Serious question. Has anyone actually tried this and can attest to it actually working?

how to make a homemade heater, put hot water threw the copper tubing

What you do is put ice packs to cool your water ;)

to be honest i see how the fan could work but you could make the unit way more effecient if you contained the coil better and i think getting parts off of a refrigeratos could build a better ghetto ac. just my 2 cents.

@speebyda The closest I was able to come on the cost was $75 then when you factor in the ice that is needed to make the unit even marginally effective the cost easily exceeds the $100 cost of a 5000btu window unit.Of course then you have the hassle of constantly changing the ice and the condensation which drips from the copper coils creating puddles wherever this "solution" is set up.

@chrisose I made mine for about $50. please tell me where you can get your hands on an air-conditioner for 50 bucks. If you do I've got a bridge you can buy.... |
